aero!

Updating a creature/beast that I used to draw in high school. My friend gave them the name 'Aero'. They look really flat from being outlined but I plan to do more with these. I hope to update the look even more, so any comments are welcomed.

A couple of samples from my student project. The title so far is "A Mouse in the House". I think it's kinda silly... but it goes with the story.

Used Illustrator for the outlines and placed the textures using Photoshop. Textures are my own (scanned from different papers).

Sorry for the bad picture! But I got a chance to see birds of prey at the school's arboretum so I thought I would share. This owl was hit by a car years back, damaging his wing. I think is has something to do with his name, "Wrong Way".

motion studies!

I also posted these on my new portfolio, but I love them so much that I wanted to post them here too.  I really enjoyed studying motion- I wanted to do more but I ran out of time.  There was a fifth one that I started and never finished.. perhaps I will have to revisit it.

Sculpture class

The current project is to make a sculpture out of metal; first by making a mold off of a wax sculpture then using that mold to poor metal in.  I did not get a picture of my wax phase (I wish I did) but I remembered to bring my camera to class the day the metal was being poured.
